None appears for the Appellant. The present appeal has been filed by the Appellant under Section 19 of the Contempt of Courts Act, 1971, inter alia, challenging the impugned order dated 6th September, 2022 and 10th February, 2026 passed in Contempt Petition no. 428/2016 titled 'Ravinder Kaur v. Mamta Anand & Anr.' by the ld. Single Judge. 3.

Vide the impugned order dated 6th September, 2022, the Court held the Appellant guilty of contempt, and on the aspect of sentence, the matter was adjourned. The relevant portion of the impugned order reads as under: "[...]

From the aforesaid sequence of dates and perusal of the aforesaid various orders passed, there is no manner of doubt that the Respondent No.1 is guilty of gross contempt of the orders dated 19.03.2014 and 31.07.2014 passed in Civil Suit No. 41/2014 (now 8423/2016). possession of the concerned property to the plaintiff/petitioner, despite having sold off the property to a third party as far back as in the year 2014. Clearly, the said statement made by Respondent No.1 on 03.02.2016, was false to his own knowledge.

9. In view of the aforesaid, the Respondent No.1 is held guilty of having committed Contempt of Courts under Section 2(b) read with Section 11 & 12 of the Contempt of Courts Act, 1971.

10. Arguments will be heard on the point of the quantum of sentence to be awarded to the Respondent No.l and as to whether the Sale Deed executed by Respondent No.1 in favour of Respondent No.2 is to be held null and void....."

Further, the application by the Appellant for recalling the order dated 6th September, 2022 was dismissed by the ld. Single Judge vide impugned order dated 10th February, 2026. The contempt petition is itself listed for consideration on 22nd April, 2026.

Under these circumstances, since the matter is now coming up before ld. Single Judge on 22nd April, 2026, the present appeal would not be liable to be entertained, as it is premature at this stage. 6.

The appeal is accordingly rejected. Pending applications, if any, are also disposed of.
