% 10.02.2020 1.

This is a petition under Section 29A(4) of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 seeking extension of the time for completion of the arbitration proceedings and passing of the arbitral award. 2.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the learned Arbitrator had entered reference in September, 2017 and though the parties have been diligently participating in the arbitration proceedings, the same have yet not been concluded, and the mandate of the Arbitrator has since expired on 29.01.2020. He, therefore, prays that the mandate of the arbitral tribunal be extended for a period of four months effective from 30.01.2020. 3.

Issue notice. Learned counsel for the respondent accepts notice and does not oppose the petition.

4.

Keeping in view the fact that much time and labour has already

been invested in the proceedings, the time for completion of arbitration proceedings and rendering of award is extended by a period of four months effective from 30.01.2020. 5.

The petition along with the pending application are disposed of. REKHA PALLI, J FEBRUARY 10, 2020 gm
