The present writ petition has been filed seeking the following reliefs: 2.
The petitioner filed an application under Section 29-A of the Representation of the People Act, 1951 for registration of the proposed political party. The respondent/ Election Commission of India (hereinafter 'ECI'), vide communication dated 23rd February, 2026, pointed out certain deficiencies in the application which were rectified by the petitioner vide W.P.(C) 3942/2026 The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above. communications dated 2nd March, 2026 and 9th March, 2026. 3.
Mr. Sanjay Vashishtha, counsel appearing on behalf of ECI, has handed over a communication dated 10th March, 2026. 3.1 A copy of the aforesaid communication is taken on record. 4.
In terms of the said communication, the respondent/ ECI has asked the Chief Electoral Officer, Tamil Nadu to carry out a physical verification of 20 members of the petitioner's proposed political party and submit a report.
4.1 Mr. Vashishtha submits that the said report is likely to be received shortly.

In view thereof, the present writ petition is disposed of while directing the respondent/ ECI to expeditiously process the application of the petitioner.
