O R D E R

% 17.02.2020 Petitioner is seeking parole for a period of one month on the ground of treatment of his mother as she is suffering from Coronary Artery Disease (CAD) Exertional Pain and to attend the marriage of his niece, which is scheduled for 28th February, 2020.

Status report filed.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the mother of the petitioner has expired today in the morning.

Learned Additional Standing Counsel (Criminal) for the State submits that he has no objection for granting parole to the petitioner as learned counsel for the petitioner has made a statement at bar regarding the death of the mother of the petitioner.

In view of above, this petition is allowed and in the interest of justice,

petitioner is granted three weeks' parole from the date of his release to enable him to perform last rites and rituals upon death of his mother on his furnishing bail bond in the sum of Rs.10,000/- with one surety in the like amount to the satisfaction of the Jail Superintendent, subject to the following conditions:

i) The petitioner shall provide his mobile phone number to the Jail Superintendent at the time of his release, which shall be kept in working conditions at all the times. The same shall not be changed without prior intimation to the Jail Superintendent; ii) The petitioner shall report at the local police station to mark his attendance on every alternate day at 11:00 a.m. during the period of parole;

iii) The petitioner shall duly surrender at the end of the period of parole; and iv) The petitioner shall also not indulge in any criminal activity while on parole.

A copy of this order be communicated to the Jail Superintendent. The petition and application stand disposed of. A copy of this order be given dasti to learned counsels for the parties under the signature of the Court Master.
