The present petition is filed praying that the trial in C.C. No. 517215/2016 be expedited.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is a senior citizen being 63 years of age and the present complaint case was filed in the year 2008. It is submitted that the complainant case is listed at the stage of pre-charge evidence.

Learned counsel for the petitioner, on instructions, submits that the petitioner will not seek any undue adjournment before the trial court. 4.

In view of the fact that the present petition relates to the year 2008, it is directed that the trial court shall make an endeavour to conclude the proceedings at the earliest and preferably within one year. CRL.M.C. 777/2020
