This is a petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India read with Section 528 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023, praying for a Writ in the nature of Habeas Corpus directing the respondents to find and produce the daughter of the petitioner, namely, Ms. Bhoomi.

The learned Standing Counsel has handed over a copy of the Status Report dated 13.04.2026. The same is taken on record. The Status Report inter-alia states that Ms. Bhoomi had given a statement in writing that she had left her parental house on 06.01.2026 and had married her friend namely Mr. Sunny, S/o Late Sukhbir in Arya Samaj The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above. The learned Standing Counsel further submits that in fact in the Police Station Ms. Bhoomi was present along with her mother and Mr. Sunny and it was ensured that Ms. Bhoomi meets her mother. 4.
Ms. Bhoomi has appeared virtually before us. She submits that due to mistreatment by her parents, she has left her parental house out of her own free will and volition, and is presently staying alone. She states that she feels threat from her parents and therefore, does not wish to either meet her parents or disclose her residential address to them.

As Ms. Bhoomi is a major and is entitled to decide where she wishes to stay, no further orders are required to be passed in the present petition. The same is accordingly disposed of.
