W.P.(C) 1628/2020 & CM No.5731/2020 (Stay) This petition has been filed by the petitioner challenging the Public Notice dated 12.09.2019 issued by the respondent no.2, Delhi Metro Rail Corporation.

By the Impugned Notice, the respondent no.2 called upon the persons interested to come over for general discussion regarding acquisition of land for metro corridor, to be held on 14.09.2019. Though the learned counsel for the petitioner submits that no such discussion took place, the learned counsel for the respondent no.2 has handed over a copy of the legal notice dated 21.01.2020 which the respondent no.2 received from the petitioner and which acknowledges the

conduct of the meeting. In any case, the learned counsel for the respondent no.2 submits that the respondent no.2 has not taken a final decision pursuant to this public notice.

In view of the above, the present petition is clearly premature. The petitioner, if they are aggrieved of the final decision taken by the respondent no.2 on the project and on the question of acquisition of land, shall be entitled to avail of the remedy against such decision, in accordance with law. The petition is disposed of.

It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any opinion on the merit of the claim made in the petition.
