The petitioner seeks quashing of case FIR No. 1325/2014 of Police Station S.P. Badli for offence under Section 336/506 IPC read with Section 25/27 of the Arms Act on the basis of Memorandum of Understanding dated 24.03.2026 executed between the petitioner and the respondent no. 2. 2.
Broadly speaking, the allegation against the petitioner is that he is involved in various cases and was even sent to jail for some time; and that on the date of the alleged incident, when he went to parental home of his wife (complainant de facto) to fetch her back, but she refused to return, he threatened to kill her; and that after few days, he again visited parental home of the complainant de facto to fetch her back and started extending threats, after which he took out a pistol and fired in the air, again threatening the complainant de facto, who dialled the PCR and the police apprehended the petitioner and seized the pistol and empty cartridge from the spot. At the outset, learned APP assisted by IO/SI Amit strongly opposes the petition on the ground that it is not a case of private offence as offence under Arms Act also has been registered.

At this stage, learned counsel for petitioner, on instructions of petitioner present in courtroom, seeks permission to withdraw this petition. 5.
As requested, the petition and the accompanying application are dismissed as withdrawn.
