Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that, pursuant to the Order dated 01.04.2026, a total sum of Rs. 8,25,000/- was directed to be paid on or before 19.04.2026. It is further submitted that a sum of Rs. 3,50,000/- has been remitted through NEFT and Rs. 1,67,500/- has been tendered by way of cheque to the respondent, which is stated to be due for encashment today.

It is submitted that the balance amount remains unpaid and that the petitioner is presently stated to be negotiating with the bank in this regard.

Learned counsel for the bank submits that, despite specific directions of this Court, the entire amount has still not been paid. This Court, taking into consideration the request of the petitioner to pay the entire amount, had passed the order dated 01.04.2026. Since the petitioner has failed to pay the entire amount as directed, this Court is not inclined to further exercise any discretion in the matter.

Accordingly, the present writ petition is dismissed, with liberty to the petitioner to avail such remedies as may be available in law before the Debt Recovery Appellate Tribunal.
