Mr. Shoumendu Mukherji, learned counsel for the petitioner, states that he has been instructed to withdraw this petition unconditionally. 2.

Mr. Mukherji, however, submits that such withdrawal should not come in the way of the petitioner approaching any statutory authorities for an appropriate legislative or regulatory intervention, in respect of the manner in which the election expenditure is computed in future. 3.

The petition is dismissed as withdrawn, noting Mr. Mukherji's submission as above.
