The petitioner has filed the present petition, inter alia, seeking parole for a period of one month in order to enable the him to arrange and perform the marriage of his niece.

The status report has been filed, which indicates that the parents of the petitioner as well as his elder brother have expired. It has been verified that the wedding of the daughter of the petitioner's deceased brother is now scheduled to be held on 28.02.2020.

The petitioner has undergone the actual custody for eleven years, eleven months and thirteen days and has earned remission of three years, two months and thirteen days. His conduct in jail is reported to be satisfactory. The petitioner was released on parole on four prior occasions and on furlough on five prior occasions and there is no allegation that he had misused the said liberties.

Considering the above, this Court considers it apposite to allow the present petition.

The petitioner is directed to be released on parole for a period of three weeks from the date of his release, subject to the petitioner furnishing a personal bond in the sum of ₹20,000 with two sureties of equal amount to the satisfaction of the concerned Jail Superintendent. The petitioner shall provide his contact details and ensure that he is reachable at all times. The petitioner shall not leave the National Capital Territory of Delhi. 6.
The petition is disposed of in the aforesaid terms. The application is also disposed of.
