The petitioner was convicted for offences under Section 302 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860, alongwith other offences, by a judgment of the learned Sessions Court dated 30.04.2013, followed by an order on sentence dated 09.05.2013, whereby he was sentenced to life imprisonment. His appeal, being Criminal Appeal No. 861/2013, was dismissed by this Court vide judgment dated 17.12.2018 upholding the judgment of conviction and order on sentence. The appeal before the Supreme Court, being Criminal Appeal Nos. 1665-1666/2019, is stated to be pending.

The petitioner has filed this petition seeking release on the second spell of furlough for a period of 14 days. He was granted furlough earlier by this Court by order dated 05.12.2025 in W.P.(CRL) 3248/2025. Mr. Tyagi, learned Additional Standing Counsel (Criminal), appearing on advance notice, submits that the petitioner's application for furlough will be decided by the competent authority within a period of two weeks.

In view of the aforesaid submission, learned counsel for the petitioner does not press the present petition at this stage, while reserving the rights and contentions of the petitioner. 5.

The petition is disposed of in terms of the above submissions.
