The petitioner has filed the present petition, inter alia, praying that directions be issued to the respondent to release the petitioner on parole for a period of one week from the date of his release. 3.

The petitioner applied for parole pursuant to an application dated 27.01.2020. However, the said application has not been decided, as yet. In view of the above, this Court considers it apposite to direct the respondent to consider the petitioner's application and communicate its decision as expeditiously as possible and in any event, within a period of two weeks

from today.
