O R D E R

After some hearing, learned counsel for the respondent/Delhi Police accedes that the petitioner shall be allowed to continue his vending activities as per the Certificate of Vending ('COV') in his favour, Najafgarh Zone, Ward No. S-50, New Delhi (except in no-vending zones). 2.

It is consequently directed that the respondents shall not interfere with the vending activities of the petitioner as long as the vending activities are carried out in the above area.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is desirous of vending in certain areas where similarly situated vendors are being allowed to vend. It is submitted that the petitioner is being singled out for being denied the right to vend in the very same area/s. Learned counsel for the respondents submits that the petitioner shall not be discriminated vis-a-vis other vendors for the purpose of his vending activities. If any other vendor is permitted to vend in a particular area, the petitioner shall not be precluded or prevented from carrying on his vending activities there. However, the petitioner shall be precluded from carrying out vending activities in no-vending zones where no other vendor/s are allowed to vend.

In the circumstances, no further order/s are required to be passed in the present petition.
