CORAM:

HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE A.K. PATHAK

O R D E R

% 27.02.2019 Respondent no.3-Smt. Laxmi is present in Court along with her counsel and has been identified by SI Rahul Singh of police station Pandav Nagar. She submits that she has settled the matter with petitioners of her own free will and without any undue force, pressure or coercion vide Compromise/Settlement Deed dated 26.12.2018. She further submits that in view of the settlement she has no objection in case FIR No. 121/2017 under Sections 354/506/34 IPC registered at police station Pandav Nagar and the consequent proceedings are quashed. Affidavit of respondent no.2 to this effect is also on record.

Keeping in mind the settlement arrived at between the petitioners and

respondent no. 3 voluntarily, in my view, no fruitful purpose would be served in keeping the criminal proceedings pending. Accordingly, in the interest of justice, aforesaid FIR and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.

Petition is disposed of in the above terms. Miscellaneous application is disposed of as infructuous.
