At the outset, Mr Gogna, learned counsel appearing for the respondents states that he has received instructions and the petitioner would be permitted to visit India for a short duration. It is stated that the petitioner can visit for a period of 30 days subject to his reporting to FRRO, Bangalore immediately on his arrival in India and deposit his passport there. He would collect his passport before departing from India within the stipulated period. In view of the above statement, the learned counsel for the petitioner states that he shall approach the respondents for a short term visa for a period of 30 days to travel to India. If the petitioner approaches the respondents within a period of one week from today, the respondents would process his application and issue a short term visa within a period of one week, thereafter. The respondents shall also inform the Migration Officer so that the entry of the petitioner is not impeded in any manner. The petitioner
would also comply with the conditions of reporting to the FRRO, Bangalore on his travel and also inform the FRRO of his departure. The petitioner would ensure that his affairs are wound up during the said period. 2.
In view of the above, the learned counsel for the petitioner does not wish to press the present petition for any further reliefs. The same is disposed of. The pending application also stands disposed of. 3.
