This is a writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking the following prayers:- "a. Issue an appropriate writ, order or direction directing the Respondent, DDA to consider and decide the appeals and representations filed by the Petitioners against the rejection of their eligibility for rehabilitation under the Delhi Slum & JJ Rehabilitation and Relocation Policy, 2015.

b. Direct the Respondents to grant the Petitioners an opportunity of hearing and pass reasoned orders on their claims for rehabilitation in accordance with the DUSIB Policy, 2015.

c. Direct the Respondents not to dispossess or evict the Petitioners from their respective dwellings at Jailorwala Bagh, Ashok Vihar Phase-II, Delhi until their claims for rehabilitation are adjudicated and alternate accommodation is provided in accordance with law. ..."

have filed their appeal and the same needs to be decided by the Appellate Authority of DDA constituted under the DDA Rehabilitation Scheme. 3.

For the said reasons, issue notice.

Ms. Gupta, learned counsel accepts notice on behalf of the respondent No. 1/DDA and states that from the documents on record it is not clear if any appeal is pending before the Appellate Authority. She also objects to the address shown by the petitioners at Jhuggis in Jailorwala Bagh. She states that none of the petitioners are in occupation and the site has been demolished, which is disputed by Ms. Kaur, learned counsel for the petitioners. 5.

However, there are documents prima facie showing filings of the appeals.

For the said reasons, the appeals will be heard and decided by the Appellate Authority expeditiously and in any case not later than 6 weeks from today.
