The writ petition was first listed on 12.03.2024, when the petitioners sought time to amend the prayer clause. The petitioners have filed CM APPL. 20337/2024 for this purpose. However, on perusal of the amendment application, Mr. A. Rasheed Qureshi, learned counsel for the petitioners, submits that further amendments are required in the writ petition itself. The petitioners have also now filed an application for placing additional documents on record.

Instead of pressing these applications for amendment and additional documents, Mr. Qureshi seeks permission to withdraw this writ petition, with liberty to file a comprehensive writ petition with proper averments, prayers and annexures, on the same cause of action. 3.
