% 14.03.2019 Issue notice. Mr.Amit Bansal accepts notice on behalf of the respondent no.1 and Ms.Avnish Ahlawat accepts notice on behalf of the respondent nos.2 & 3.

The prayers sought by the petitioners in the present petition are as follows:- "

1.

MANDAMUS directing, commanding and requiring the respondents forthwith to amend District Courts Establishment (Appointment and Conditions of Service) Rules, 2012 to include Personal Assistants working in District courts who have rendered 7 years of regular service as eligible for promotion to the post ofAdministrative Officer (Judicial);

2.

MANDAMUS directing, commanding and requiring the respondents forthwith to amend District Courts Establishment (Appointment and Conditions of Service) Rules, 2012 to include the category of Personal Assistants' who have completed 8 years regular service eligible for

promotion to the post of Senior Personal Assistants; 3.

MANDAMUS directing commanding and requiring the respondents to change the nomenclature of Personal Assistants (Stenographer Grade-II) to the post of Senior Personal Assistants and Senior Personal Assistants (Stenographer Grade-I) to the post of Private Secretary as is the case in this Hon'ble Court;"

Mr.Bansal on instructions states that the concerned Committee of Hon'ble Judges of this Court has already recommended in terms of the relief sought at serial no.1 & 2 and the matter is pending consideration before the Full Bench of this Court. So far as relief no.3 is concerned Ms.Alhawat submits that this aspect is pending before the concerned committee of the District Court. It is further pointed out that the petitioners are only seeking a change of the nomenclature in the designation and it has no bearing on the emoluments and other terms and conditions of the petitioners. We are of the view that in view of the aforesaid statements, the present petition does not survive at this stage. However, in the event of the petitioners having any substantial grievance remaining, it shall be open for petitioners to approach the Court at an appropriate stage. The petition stands disposed of.
