O R D E R

% 28.02.2019 The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that erroneously instead of 'parole', the word 'furlough' has been typed in the petition. He submits that instead of furlough, the petition would be treated as parole. The petition shall be so treated.

The petitioner seeks parole to appear for his examination for MA (History) which commences 07.03.2019. The petitioner's admit card issued by the University concerned is annexed as Annexure-G. He is undergoing sentence for seven years, of which he has spent most of the period and scheduled to be released sometime in September this year, subject to remission. His conduct in jail is stated to be satisfactory. He has earlier been granted parole and furloughs and has not misused the liberty granted. The learned counsel for the State submits that the aforesaid facts have been verified.

In view of the above, the petitioner is granted parole for a period of three weeks from the date of his release on his furnishing a personal bond in the sum of Rs. 20,000/- with one surety of the like amount to the satisfaction of the Jail Superintendent concerned, subject to the following conditions:- (1) The petitioner shall report to the SHO, concerned Police Station, Gandhi Nagar, Delhi, once a week, on every Tuesday during the period of parole.

(2) He shall furnish his telephone number to the SHO concerned, which the petitioner shall keep operational at all times (3) The petitioner shall surrender before the jail authorities at the expiry of the period of parole.

With the above directions the Writ Petition is disposed-off. A copy of this order be given dasti to the learned counsel for the parties under the signature of the Court Master. A copy be also sent to the Jail Superintendent concerned through the police. NAJMI WAZIRI, J FEBRUARY 28, 2019 RW
