The petitioner seeks direction against the respondents for grant of additional financial assistance of Rs.1,00,000/- (Rupees One Lakh only) under the Prime Minister's National Relief Fund ['PMNRF'] over and above the compensation already received under the Central Victim Compensation Fund Scheme.

The petitioner claims to be an acid attack survivor and has received compensation of Rs.5,00,000/- (Rupees Five Lakh only) from the District Legal Services Authority under the Victim Compensation Scheme vide notification dated 09.11.2016 by the Ministry of Home Affairs. 3.

financial assistance of Rs. 1,00,000/- to acid attack victims. 4.

The petitioner submits that a representation dated 28.03.2025 was made to the respondent no.2 seeking release of the additional financial assistance. However, respondent no.2 has not decided the same. 5.

Mr. Nitin Kumar, learned counsel for respondent no. 2, on advance instructions, submits that, in case the petitioner appears before the concerned Authority along with all necessary documents, the application shall be considered in accordance with law.

In view thereof, the petition stands disposed of with the following directions:

i.

Let the petitioner to appear before respondent no.2 along with a copy of this order and all other necessary documents within 30 days from today.

ii.

Let respondent no.2 to deal with the said application and to pass an appropriate order within a period of 2 months therefrom. iii.

The petitioner be also granted liberty to appear through authorized representative.

All rights and contentions are left open.

If the petitioner's grievance is not fully mitigated, he shall be at liberty to take recourse in accordance with law.
