The petitioner is serving a sentence of imprisonment of seven years having been convicted in proceedings under Sections 392/397/34 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860, in proceedings arising out of FIR No. 119/2018 dated 23.09.2018, registered at Police Station Defence Colony. His appeal was also dismissed by this Court vide judgment dated 05.08.2025 in CRL.A. 979/2024.

By way of this petition under Article 226 of the Constitution, the petitioner seeks grant of parole to attend to his mother, who is stated to be in poor health, as well as for solemnization of his own marriage. 3.
Although it is stated in the petition that the petitioner has not made any application for this purpose before the concerned jail authorities, Mr. Amol Sinha, learned Additional Standing Counsel for the State, submits that an application has been received on behalf of the petitioner on 17.02.2026.

Be that as it may, Mr. Sinha submits that this petition will be treated as the application of the petitioner, and will be disposed of within a period of two weeks from today.

Having regard to the above, Mr. Vijay Shankar Tiwari, learned counsel for the petitioner, does not seek any further orders in this writ petition.

The writ petition, alongwith pending application, is therefore disposed of, binding the respondent to the aforesaid submission.
