+ CRL.M.C. 1174/2019 SH. MATRU @ MATRU SAHU ..... Petitioner Through Mr. C. S. Gumani, Advocate versus STATE & ANR.
..... Respondents Through Ms. Aashaa Tiwari, APP for the State
CORAM:
HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE A.K. PATHAK

% 28.02.2019 Notice. Learned APP accepts notice for the State. Respondent no.2 Smt. Poonam is present in Court and accepts notice. Respondent no.2 (wife) submits that she has settled the matter with petitioner (husband) before the Mediation Centre, Saket Courts, New Delhi on 10th October, 2017 of her own free will and without any undue force, pressure or coercion and that she is living with her husband. Respondent no. 2 further submits that she has no objection in case FIR No.1010/2014 under Sections 498A/406/34 IPC registered at Police Station Govind Puri and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed. Keeping in mind the settlement arrived at between the petitioner no.1 and respondent no. 2 voluntarily, in my view, no fruitful purpose would be
served to keep the criminal proceedings pending. Accordingly, in the interest of justice, aforesaid FIR and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.
Petition is disposed of in the above terms. Miscellaneous application is disposed of as infructuous. Dasti.
