CORAM:
HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE A.K. PATHAK
O R D E R
% 22.01.2018 It is submitted that the petitioners and the respondents were living in the same locality. They were having family relations. A quarrel took place which led to registration of FIR No. 554/2014 under Sections 308/341/34 IPC registered at police Station Fatehpur Beri on the complaint of respondent No. 2. Petitioners and respondent No. 2 have amicably settled the matter vide memorandum of understanding dated 8.01.2018 and, therefore, FIR and the consequent proceedings may be quashed. Respondent No. 2 is present in court and has been identified by SI Manjeet Kumar of PS Fatehpur Beri. Respondent No. 2 has settled the matter with the petitioners of his own free will and without undue force, pressure and coercion and has no objection in case FIR is quashed.
In view of the settlement arrived at between the petitioners and
the respondent No. 2, I am of the view that no fruitful purpose would be served to keep the criminal proceedings pending. Accordingly in the interest of justice, FIR No. 554/2014 under Sections 308/341/34 IPC registered at Police Station Fatehpur Beri and consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.
Petition is disposed of in the above terms. Miscellaneous application is disposed of as infructuous. Dasti. A.K. PATHAK, J JANUARY 22, 2018 SRwt
