This is a writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking the following prayers:- "i. issue a writ of mandamus or any other suitable writ or order directing respondents to decide petitioner's representation dated 23.11.2023 and 03.06.2024 regarding continuation of recognition of B.Ed course with 100 seals (two basic units); and/or ii. issue a writ of mandamus .or any other suitable writ or order or direction respondents to inform the affiliating University as well as Department of Higher Education, The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above. Government of Maharashtra regarding recognition status of petitioner institution for conducting B.Ed course with 100 seats (two basic units) and enabling p in the counseling & admission process for the academic year 2026-27 and subsequent years: and/or..."

Mr. Kumar, learned counsel for the petitioners on instructions states that he is only pressing prayer (i), i.e. to decide the representation of the petitioners dated 23.11.2023 within a reasonable time. 3.

For the said reasons, issue notice.

Mr. Kapoor, learned counsel accepts notice on behalf of the respondents and states that the petition is highly belated and the petitioner is required to follow the required procedures under the 2014 Regulations to increase the seat intake.

To the said submission, Mr. Kumar, learned counsel, states that he is seeking increase in the intake only because his intake was wrongly reduced by the respondents.

However, in view of the limited submission of the learned counsel for the petitioners, the petition is disposed of, directing the respondents to decide the petitioners' representation dated 23.11.2023, expeditiously by a speaking order within 8 weeks from today. 7.

The petition is accordingly disposed of.
