The petitioner submits that this is a matter where the respondent/department is complying with the directions of the Court in Criminal Revision Petition No. 586/2016 and making payment of maintenance after directing/appropriating the same from the salary of the husband of the petitioner and crediting the same in her bank account.

It is submitted that the husband of the petitioner has since retired, w.e.f., 31.10.2023 on reaching the age of superannuation. 3.

Insofar as the arrears of maintenance till the date of retirement of her husband is concerned, the same be credited to the bank account of the petitioner within a month from today.

Insofar as the future maintenance is concerned, the quantum of maintenance shall be required to be assessed afresh by the concerned Court since the husband of the petitioner has retired from his service and the petitioner shall be at liberty to approach the Court concerned. This petition is also disposed of with direction to the respondent to process the medical card of the petitioner within a month from today, failing which the concerned Official shall be personally liable for contempt and shall be visited with penalty/costs recoverable from his/her salary 6.

The petition is disposed of accordingly.

The date already fixed in the matter i.e. 14.11.2024 stands cancelled.
