This petition has been filed seeking quashing of FIR No. 139/2021 under Section 498A/406/34 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860 ('IPC'), registered at Police Station Sarai Rohilla, Delhi on the basis of settlement arrived at between the parties on 14th October 2024 which is on record. 2.

Issue notice; notice is accepted by APP for the State. 3.

Petitioner nos. 1-6 and respondent2/complainant are present before this Court and have been duly identified by their respective counsels as well by The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above. Both the parties state that no child was born out of the said wedlock. 5.

Respondent no. 2 states that she has no objection to the quashing of the FIR. A Demand Draft of Rs. 1,50,000/- bearing No. 123968 dated 27th August 2025 has been handed over to respondent no. 2, which she has accepted and acknowledged. She states that with this Demand Draft of Rs. 1,50,000/-, the full amount under the settlement stands paid to her in full. 6.

Considering the above settlement between the parties, and the chances of conviction of the petitioners being remote and bleak, there is no use continuing with proceedings of the present FIR as it would be a misuse of the process of the Court and an unnecessary burden on the State exchequer. Accordingly, the petition is allowed. FIR alongwith all proceedings emanating therefrom stands quashed.

Accordingly, the present petition stands disposed of. 8.
