The present writ petition under Article 226 of the Constitution read with Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 (Cr.P.C.) has been filed on behalf of the Petitioner seeking directions to be issued to respondents No. 1, 2 and 3 to take action against the police officials/ respondents No. 4 to 7 and also to give protection to the Petitioner and her family members.

A Status Report has been filed on behalf of the Respondent, wherein it is stated that there are five cases registered from 2014 to 2018 on the Complaint of the Petitioner or her family members. The Charge-Sheets have already been filed and the matters are pending at the stage of charge/Prosecution Evidence.

become infructuous. The Petitioner has further asserted that because of fear for her life, she alongwith her family members have left their home and they may be given protection.

There are as many as five FIRs registered on the complaint of the Petitioner or her family members. In case she apprehends any fear for her life, she is at liberty to approach the Witness Protection Committee of the District Court to seek appropriate direction. 5.

Insofar as the prayer for action against the police official is concerned, petitioner is at liberty to initiate appropriate proceedings before the court concerned for getting an FIR registered.

Nothing further survives in the present petition, which is hereby disposed of.
