This is an application filed on behalf of the Delhi Medical Counsel seeking modification of the order dated 19.09.2019. 2.

Mr Khattar states that the first sentence of paragraph 7 of the said order records the submission that neither the MCI nor the DMC can render an expert opinion for the purposes of registering a criminal case. He states that the said submission was made only on behalf of MCI and not on behalf of the Delhi Medical Council (DMC). He further contends that as far as DMC is concerned, it has always maintained that it can render an expert opinion as otherwise held by this Court.

In view of the above, the first sentence of paragraph 7 of the order dated 19.09.2019 is rectified to read as under:- "Mr T. Singhdev, learned counsel appearing for MCI submits that MCI cannot render any expert opinion for the purposes of registering a criminal case in view of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 and the Rules made thereunder."
