The present appeal assails the Order dated 13.02.2025 (impugned order) passed by learned Judge, Family Court-02, District West, Tis Hazari Courts, Delhi, ('Family Court') in GP No.13/17. 2.

Learned counsel for the appellant submits that the present appeal is pressed only to the extent of the appellant's right to cross-examine PW-1, which was closed by the impugned order dated 13.02.2025. He submits that the examination-in-chief of PW-1 commenced on 04.01.2025 and was adjourned to 13.02.2025. The same was concluded on 13.02.2025, and without granting an opportunity to the respondent to prepare for cross-examination, the right to cross-examine PW-1 was closed on the said The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above. In the given circumstances, we are of the view that the right to cross-examine PW-1 ought not to have been closed on the date the examination-in-chief was concluded.

In view of the above, learned counsel for the respondent submits that a time frame may be fixed for concluding the cross-examination of PW-1. 5.

We are informed that the next date fixed before the learned Family Court is 22.05.2026. On the said date, PW-1 shall remain present in Court for cross-examination, and the respondent shall conduct the cross-examination on the said date and shall be concluded positively within two effective dates. 6.

The impugned order dated 13.02.2025 stands modified to the aforesaid extent.

With the aforesaid directions, the present appeal stands disposed of. 8.
