By way of the present petition, the petitioner seeks a direction for early disposal of his application filed under Section 156(3) Cr.P.C. as well as the complaint case under Section 200 Cr.P.C., pending before MM-01, Patiala House Courts, New Delhi.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the aforesaid application under Section 156(3) Cr.P.C. was filed on 30.08.2016 stating that the complainant had availed a housing loan from Punjab National Bank, Connaught Place, New Delhi vide sanction/proposal letters dated 02.08.1999 and 08.11.1999 against deposit of valuable securities worth Rs.20 lacs. was stated that the loan was cleared but the valuable documents including NSCs and LIC Policies were not returned.

Learned counsel for the petitioner further submits that earlier, the petitioner had filed W.P.(CRL) 1747/2018 in which the learned ASC made a statement that an Action Taken Report/Status Report would be filed in the aforesaid application before the trial court on 31.05.2018. In view of the aforesaid statement, the writ petition was dismissed as withdrawn. 4.

It is submitted that despite the ATR filed on record and the arguments having been concluded, the application under Section 156(3) Cr.P.C. is still pending before the Metropolitan Magistrate for considerable time. It is stated that recently, on 16.12.2019, the matter was again posted for remaining arguments/ clarifications.

The present petition is disposed of with the directions that the concerned court shall make an endeavour to dispose of the pending application within four weeks from today.

A copy of this order be communicated to the trial court. 7.
