O.M.P.(MISC.)(COMM.) 223/2025 1.

This Petition under Section 29A(3) of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, has been filed by the Petitioner for extending the mandate of the Sole Arbitrator in the Arbitration proceedings which are going on between the parties.

Material on record indicates that this Court had constituted the Arbitral Tribunal comprising of a Sole Arbitrator, to adjudicate upon the disputes between the parties.

It is stated that the pleadings have been completed on 25.02.2023. stated that mandate of the Sole Arbitrator was extended from time to time and last such extension was granted on 09.10.2024. It is stated that mandate of the Sole Arbitrator is expiring on 08.04.2025. The present Petition has, therefore, been filed seeking extension of mandate of the Sole Arbitrator. 4.

It is stated by the learned Counsel for the Petitioner the matter is at the stage of final arguments. The mandate of the Arbitrator be extended. 5.

The Respondent has no objection to the mandate being extended. 6.

Accordingly, this Court is inclined to extend the mandate of the Sole arbitrator till 31.10.2025, so that the award can be pronounced and no further extension of time would be required by the Sole Arbitrator. 7.

The Petition is disposed of, along with the pending applications, if any.
