1. Issue notice. Learned counsel for the respondent accepts notice.

2. The short grievance in the present writ petition is against the demand notice issued in pursuance of the assessment order passed the Assessing Officer (AO), for Rs.3,60,87,171/-.

3. The petitioner has preferred a stay application, before the AO as well as CIT (A) before whom the statutory appeal has been preferred. The grievance is that neither of the stay applications has been considered and the respondent has proceeded to attach the bank account of the petitioner.

4. Learned counsel for the respondent states that the AO shall dispose of the stay application, moved by the petitioner, within one week from today and

till then the amount in the account of the petitioner shall not be appropriated.

5. In view of the aforesaid statement, which shall continue to bind the respondent, this petition is accordingly disposed of.
