The present petition has been filed by the petitioner, being aggrieved with the actions of the respondent no.2 (Authorization Committee, Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, Delhi) in rejecting the petitioner's application for kidney transplant from donor i.e., respondent no.4 (who is not a relative of the petitioner).

It is submitted that the petitioner is suffering from a critical renal condition which requires an immediate kidney transplant to sustain his life. 3.
During the course of hearing, learned Chairman of the Authorization Committee/respondent no.2 has appeared in person and has shared the relevant records with the Court, particularly, FORM-18 which contains elaborate reasons as to why the petitioner's request could not be acceded to. He also points out that the decision of the Authorization Committee is appealable under Section 17 of the Transplantation of Human Organs and The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above. Tissues Act, 1994 and the petitioner has infact availed the appellate remedy.He submits that as and when the relevant records are sought from the Appellate Authority, the same will be duly communicated. 4.
Considering that the Appellate Authority is already seized of the matter pursuant to the appeal being filed by the petitioner, the present petition is disposed of with a direction to the Appellate Authority to decide the appeal as expeditiously as possible, and preferably within a period of two weeks from today after affording an opportunity of hearing to the concerned parties.

The petition is disposed of in the above terms. 6.
In case the petitioner is aggrieved with the decision taken by the Appellate Authority, he shall be at liberty to avail appropriate remedies under law.
