After some hearing, it has been agreed between the ld. counsel for the parties, upon instructions from their clients, that in order to put an end to the disputes between the parties, the Petitioner shall pay a lumpsum amount of Rs.8 lakhs to the Respondents within four weeks from today. 2.

Ld. counsel for the Petitioner submits that this order should not act as a precedent.

It is clarified that one of the legal grounds in this petition is the scope of review by the National Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission (hereinafter, 'NCDRC") as it is the contention of the Petitioner that the NCDRC's power to review its own order is quite limited and thus, the impugned order could not have been passed.

It is made clear that this Court has not gone into the merits of the legal

position which has been canvased by the Petitioner, which, in fact, is being considered in other petitions currently pending before this Court. The present order shall not act as a precedent and is limited to the peculiar facts and circumstances of this case.

Upon payment of the sum of Rs.8 lakhs within four weeks, the allotment of the property shall stand automatically cancelled without any further orders.

With these observations, the petition and all pending applications are disposed of.
