Vide the present petition, petitioner seeks direction for quashing of FIR No.148/2016, registered at Police Station CWC Nanakpura, Delhi and consequent proceedings arising therefrom.

Notice is accepted by learned APP for State and by counsel for respondent no.2 and with the consent of counsel for parties, present petition is taken up for final disposal.

The present petition is filed on the ground that parties have settled their disputes and respondent No. 2 has no objection if the present petition is allowed.

Petitioner and respondent No.2 got married on 20.04.2012. Due to extreme incompatibilities between petitioner and respondent no.2, they started living separately from July, 2016. 8.

Petitioner and respondent No.2 entered into an amicable settlement vide Settlement Deed dated 27.07.2019 and settled all their disputes amicably.

Complainant/respondent No.2 is present in person and has been identified by SI Yashpal Singh and submits that matter has been settled and she does not wish to prosecute the matter any further. 10.

A demand draft bearing No.600738 dated 22.02.2021 for the balance amount of ₹5,00,000/- towards balance settlement amount is handed over to the respondent No.2 today in the Court.

Taking into account the aforesaid facts, this Court is inclined to quash FIR as no useful purpose would be served in prosecuting petitioners any further.

For the reasons afore-recorded, FIR No.148/2016, registered at Police Station CWC Nanakpura, Delhi and consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.
