By way of the present petition, the petitioners are seeking quashing of FIR bearing no. 98/2024, registered at Police Station Mandir Marg, New Delhi for the offences punishable under Sections 281, 125A of the Bhartiya Nyay Sanhita, 2023 (hereafter 'BNS). .

Briefly stated, facts of the present case are that on 11.09.2024 at about 12:00 respondent no. 2 was hit by a car owned by petitioner no. 2, which was being driven by petitioner no. 1, who is the driver of petitioner no. 2. Thereafter, respondent no. 2 had made a PCR call and was taken to the LHMC hospital, where his MLC was conducted. Respondent no. 2 at about 12:00 PM got discharged and went to Police Station Mandir Marg where he had submitted his complaint against the petitioners. The said complaint was culminated into the present FIR.

It is stated that both the parties have amicably settled the present matter. The statements of the parties to the said effect have been recorded by the learned Joint Registrar (Judicial) on 12.03.2025. 7.
On a query made by this Court, respondent no. 2 who has been identified by the concerned IO, has categorically stated that he has entered into compromise out of his own free will and without any pressure, coercion or threat. Respondent no. 2 further states that he has no objection if the present FIR is quashed.

In view of the above fact, that the parties have amicably resolved their differences of their own free will, without any coercion and no useful purpose will be served by continuing the proceedings, rather the same would create further acrimony between them. It would thus be in interest of justice to quash the abovementioned FIR and the proceedings pursuant thereto. There is no legal impediment in quashing the FIR in question. 9.
Accordingly, FIR bearing No. 98/2024, registered at Police Station Mandir Marg, New Delhi for the offences punishable under Sections 281, 125A of BNS and all consequential proceedings emanating therefrom are The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above.
