By way of the present writ petition, the Petitioner calls in question the legality of his transfer/posting from Ambala to Thanjavur, Tamil Nadu.

The grievance of the Petitioner is that he has been prematurely transferred without being permitted to complete the normal tenure of posting at Ambala.

Mr. Amit Rana, learned counsel appearing for the Respondents, is present along with the Departmental Officer. It is submitted on behalf of the Respondents that the Petitioner has, for nearly the last ten years, remained accommodated near his hometown, having first been posted at Delhi, thereafter at Uttarlai (Rajasthan), and subsequently at Ambala.

Learned counsel appearing for the Petitioner submits that the Petitioner is due to attain the age of superannuation in March, 2027, and is willing to put in his papers.

On the other hand, learned counsel appearing for the Respondents submits that several other deserving personnel are in the queue and have sought posting at Ambala.

In view of the aforesaid, this Court finds no ground to interfere with the impugned transfer/posting order. However, in the event the Petitioner puts in his papers, the same shall be considered sympathetically by the Department in accordance with law. 7.

The present writ petition, along with pending application(s), is dismissed.
