The present writ petition has been filed seeking following relief: "a) issue a writ of mandamus or any other suitable writ, order or direction to the Respondents to decide the petitioner's application for change of name of institution as "Aryavart Mahavidyalaya" in a time bound manner."

The learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioners submits that the petitioner no.1 has made an application 13.02.2024 to the respondent no.1 for change of name of the petitioner institution from "Shri Ram College" to "Aryavart Mahavidyalaya", which is pending before the respondents and has not yet been decided.

accepts notice. He does not dispute the fact that the application of the petitioner no.1 is still pending for consideration. 4.

Having regard to the aforesaid circumstances, the respondents are directed to decide petitioner's application dated 13.02.2024 within a period of two months from the date of receipt of this order after following the due process. No further relief is pressed for at this stage. 5.

Needless to say that the respondents will be at liberty to call for any further information, if necessary, from the petitioner while deciding their application.

It is clarified that the Court has not expressed any opinion on the merits of the case.
