This petition has been filed under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973, praying for a direction to the learned Metropolitan Magistrate, Mahila Court, West, Tis Hazari Courts, Delhi, to expedite the disposal of the application filed by the petitioner claiming interim maintenance in MC No. 234/2020, titled Deeksha Malik v. Suchit Ahuja.

It is stated that the said application was filed on 10.07.2022, and post its listing, it has been heard over a number of dates, after which it was reserved for orders on 12.07.2023, however, as of the present date, the orders on the same have not been pronounced, and the matter is being adjourned since then.

For the direction that is proposed to be passed, I do not deem it necessary to issue notice of this petition to the respondent. 5.

Since the petitioner contends that the application seeking interim maintenance has been heard over a number of dates by the learned Metropolitan Magistrate and orders were reserved way back on 12.07.2023, the learned Trial Court is requested to pronounce the order on the abovementioned interim application expeditiously, and within ten days of the next date of listing before it, post this order. 6.

A copy of this order shall also be sent to the learned Metropolitan Magistrate.

It is clarified that this Court has not expressed any opinion on the merits of the application filed by the petitioner, which is pending adjudication before the Court by the learned Metropolitan Magistrate. 8.
