The petitioners have filed the present petition, inter alia, praying for bail in connection with FIR No.0151/2018 under Section 406/420 of the IPC registered with PS Barakhamba Road.

The petitioners pray that they be released on bail on the ground that they require to approach the Australian High Commission for extension of the visa of their minor daughter, who is currently studying in Australia. 3.

The status report has been filed, which indicates that the petitioners were declared proclaimed offenders in a case relating to FIR No.1139/2015 under Section 406/420 of the IPC. Apart from the FIR in question, there are twelve other FIRs also registered against the petitioners. Prima facie, it is apparent from the facts, as stated in the status report, that the petitioners had been avoiding the processes of law. Nonetheless, since the petitioners seek

bail for extending the visa of their daughter who is studying overseas, this Court considers it apposite to grant custody bail to the petitioners on two occasions.

On the first occasion, the petitioners would be granted custody bail for a period not exceeding six hours for being taken to their residence for collating the necessary documents and to submit the same to the Educational Counsellor at Nehru Place. On the second occasion, custody bail is granted for a period of not exceeding six hours for the petitioners to visit the Australian High Commission for extension of the visa of their minor daughter. The concerned Jail Superintendent shall consider the appointment secured by the petitioners before the Australian High Commission, and ensure that the custody bail is implemented in order to enable the petitioners to be present at the Australian High Commission at the appointed time. 5.

The petition is disposed of with the aforesaid directions. 6.
