Dr. Kamini Lau, counsel for the Petitioner, submits that in view the Petitioner's exoneration vide order dated 23rd March, 2026, passed by the Disciplinary Authority, DUSIB, the result of the Departmental Promotion Committee,1 which has been kept in a sealed cover, is now liable to be opened.

Mr. Rishi Kant, counsel for the Respondents, on instructions, submits that the sealed cover shall be opened in the first fortnight of May, 2026 and the outcome thereof shall be communicated to the Petitioner. 3.

In view of the aforesaid statement, which is taken on record, nothing further survives for adjudication in the present petition at this stage. Respondents shall remain bound by the said statement. In the event of any non-compliance, the Petitioner shall be at liberty to take recourse to appropriate remedies in accordance with law.

It is clarified that upon the opening of the sealed cover, if the Petitioner has any surviving grievance with regard to the outcome of the DPC or consequential benefits, he shall be at liberty to avail appropriate remedies in accordance with law.

With the above directions, the petition is disposed of along with pending application(s), if any.
