On a oral request of the learned counsel for the petitioner the Revenue Department, the Government of NCTof Delhi (GNCTD) is arrayed as respondent no.3. Let the amended memo of parties be placed on record immediately after the original memo of parties, during the course of the day. 2.

Petitioner no. 1 is the wife of the deceased Late Sh. Bharat Singh (hereinafter "deceased"), while petitioner nos. 2 and 3 are the daughters of the deceased. It is contended that the deceased, who was a Home Guard in the Delhi Police, while patrolling at night with one ASI Kuldeep Singh of Delhi, died in an accident on 07.01.2021.

The petitioner, therefore, made an application seeking ex-gratia compensation of Rs. 1 Crore under the Circular dated 18.10.2018 of the Government of NCT of Delhi.

It appears that vide Communication dated 01.09.2025 made to one of the elected representatives, it has come on record that the Group of Ministers deferred the case of the deceased for next meeting. It appears that the case of the petitioners is still pending for consideration with the Group of Ministers.

In view of the aforesaid, the Court deems it appropriate to direct the Revenue Department, Relief Branch, GNCTD to immediately do the needful and to place the petitioners' case before the concerned Group of Ministers. The decision be communicated to the petitioners as well as to the learned counsel for the petitioners with due expedition. 6.

The petitioners, thereafter, shall be at liberty to take appropriate recourse in accordance with law, if grievance is not fully mitigated. 7.
