versus NATIONAL COUNCIL FOR TEACHER EDUCATION AND ORS.
..... Respondents Through :

CORAM:

O R D E R
% 24.02.2020 1.
Issue notice to the respondents.
2.
Ms. Arunima Dwivedi accepts notice on behalf of the respondents. 3.
The limited grievance of the petitioner is that its application for the subject course i.e. B.Ed. has not been considered since 3rd June 2019. 3.1 To be noted, the record shows that the Appeal Committee of the NCTE had remanded the matter to the Northern Regional Committee (NRC) as far back as on 27.03.2019.
4.
According to the petitioner, pursuant to the remand order, the NRC in its 301st meeting held between 09.05.2019 and 11.05.2019, took a decision to issue a show cause notice to the petitioner. W.P.(C) 2044/2020
5.
The petitioner claims that, accordingly, a reply was filed on 03.06.2019.
6.
According to the petitioner, even though, thereafter nine meetings have been held by the NRC, the show cause notice has not been adjudicated upon.
7.
I am further informed that on 27.01.2020, the NCTE has issued a gazette notification whereby the jurisdiction qua the petitioner's case will lie with the Western Regional Committee (WRC).
8.
The petitioner's limited plea is that its case be considered by the concerned regional committee in its next meeting, which is slated to commence from 25.02.2020.
9.
Given the limited relief that the petitioner seeks, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction that the show cause notice issued to the petitioner will be adjudicated upon by the concerned regional committee i.e. NRC/WRC at their next meeting which is slated to commence from 25.02.2020.
10.
Dasti under signatures of the Court Master.
