Mr. Rajeshwari, learned counsel for the petitioner, has relied on the Answer to Question No. 9 in the information relating to the Frequently Asked Questions, as circulated by the DOE Act-I branch. The said question and the answer read thus:
"Q.
Can there be separate admission process for main school and its branch school?
Ans. All Montessori/Pre-Schools/Pre-Primary Branch being run by registered societies/trusts in Delhi as branches of recognized unaided schools in or outside the school premises shall be deemed as one institution for all purposes including admission process vide order No: 15871 dated 23/03/1999."

Her submission is that, in view of the above clarifications given by the DOE, the petitioner would be entitled to points under the "sibling" category as his sister was studying in the school run by the same society which ran the Respondent No.1-School.

There is no appearance on behalf of the Respondent No.1School. 4.
Learned counsel appearing for the DOE (Respondent No. 2), acknowledges that there is substance in the case of the petitioner and submits that it would be for the school to explain why it has refused the admission of the petitioner.

In view thereof, as the issue in controversy appears to be elementary, let notice on the writ petition issue to the respondents in order to respond thereto within a period of one week, with advance copy to the petitioner, who may file rejoinder thereto, if any, within three days thereof.

Renotify this writ petition for disposal at the end of the Board on 25th March, 2019.

The petitioner is permitted to effect dasti service of notice on the Respondent No.1-School.
