Through the instant petitions, the Petitioners inter-alia seek quashing of summoning order dated 20th February, 2023, passed by the M.M, Mahila Court, Shahdara, New Delhi, passed in Ct. No. 758/21, filed under Section 12 of the Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act, 2005.1 2.

Petitioners, states that he would like to withdraw the present petitions. Before concluding, however, the Mr. Sarin requests that Mr. Naresh Kumar Garg (father-in-law of the complainant) and Mrs. Lalita Devi (mother-in-law of the complainant), who are the petitioners in Crl. MC 1802/2025, be exempted from personally appearing before the Trial Court. This request is made in consideration of Mr. Naresh Kumar Garg's advanced age of 69, which requires him to use a walker for any movement, and Mrs. Lalita Devi, who is 66 years old and has been bedridden for the past 7-8 years, needing assistance with basic daily activities including eating and personal care. Mr. Sarin further submits that both the Petitioners are not very familiar with technology, but their counsel will provide the necessary assistance and facilitate their participation via video conferencing. He further assures the court that the Petitioners will be represented by their counsel, in person, before the trial court.

Considering the above, Mr. Naresh Kumar Garg and Mrs. Lalita Devi are exempted from personal appearance, and are permitted to join the proceedings before the Trial Court, through video conferencing mechanism, subject to just exceptions. They shall, however, be represented on each date of hearing through counsel.

On merits, the petitions are dismissed as withdrawn in the above terms. Pending applications, if any, stand infructuous. 5.

The Court has not commented on the merits of the case. All rights and contentions of the parties are left open.
