This is an application filed by the petitioner with the following prayers:- "1. Dispose-off the present Petition as per the settlement arrived on 06.07.2016 and/or;

2. Allow the Petitioner to withdraw the Petition in view of die settlement arrived at on 06.07.2016.

3. Pass any such order and further order(s) as may be deemed fit and proper in die facts and circumstances of the matter in favour of the Petitioner."

The respondent No.1, who is present in person and identified by the learned counsel for the petitioner, acknowledges that a settlement has been

entered into by him with the petitioner School on July 6, 2016. Learned counsel for the petitioner has handed over a bankers cheque in the sum of Rs.2,81,661/- bearing No.288311 dated June 22, 2016 drawn on Punjab National Bank to the respondent No.1, who accepts the same. 3.

Learned counsel for the petitioner states, in view of the settlement entered by the petitioner School with the respondent No.1 and as the payment has been accepted by the respondent No.1, the writ petition be disposed of as settled. Ordered accordingly. 4.

Application is disposed of.
