% 25.02.2020 Crl.M.A. No.4035/2020 Exemption is allowed, subject to all just exceptions. Accordingly, application stands disposed of.
W.P.(CRL) 536/2020 Present writ of habeas corpus had been filed by the petitioner - father seeking production of his daughter - Ms.Monika, aged about 24 years, who had been missing since 20th January, 2020.
On 24th February, 2020, Mr.Rahul Mehra, Standing Counsel (criminal) for the State had stated that Ms.Monika had married Mr.Rahul
Kumar out of her own free will. He further stated that Ms.Monika had been granted police protection, at her instance, by a learned Single Bench of this Court in Writ Petition (Crl.) No. 334/2020. We had directed the State to produce Ms.Monika before this Court.
Today Ms.Monika is personally present and she reiterates that she has married Mr.Rahul Kumar out of her own free will. Since Ms.Monika is a major, she is free to take her decisions. Consequently, the present criminal writ petition is disposed of as satisfied. MANMOHAN, J SANGITA DHINGRA SEHGAL, J FEBRUARY 25, 2020 SU/
