This writ petition is filed on behalf of the Petitioner under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India seeking the following reliefs:- "a) Issue a Writ in the nature of Mandamus or any other appropriate Writ, Order or direction to direct the Respondent No. 1 and 2 to encash the Bank Guarantees issued in favour of the Petitioner b) Issue a Writ in the nature of Mandamus or any other appropriate Writ, Order or direction to."

Case of the Petitioner is that a contract was awarded by the Petitioner to Respondent No. 3 and for performance of the contract, Respondent No. 3 had furnished 6 unconditional Bank Guarantees ('BGs'), amounting to Rs. 1,35,49,540/-. Due to the alleged default in breach of the contract on the part of Respondent No. 3, Petitioner avers that right to invoke/encash the BGs accrues in favour of the Petitioner. However, since the Respondent Bank was not taking any action, the present writ petition has been filed by the Petitioner.

Mr. Akshit Kapur, learned counsel for SBI submits that honouring the unconditional BGs, Bank has already invoked and encashed the same and amount of Rs. 1,29,02,820/- has already been credited in the bank account of the Petitioner today i.e., 17.11.2025.

In light of this, no further order is required to be passed in the present writ petition and the same is accordingly disposed of.
