versus THE STATE( NCT OF DELHI) & ANR ..... Respondents Through:

CORAM:

HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE A.K. PATHAK

O R D E R

% 08.03.2019 Notice. Learned APP accepts notice for respondent no. 1. Respondent no.2-Smt. Roopa Nishad is present in Court and has been identified by W/ASI Radha Sharma of police station Crime (Women) Cell, Nanakpura. It is submitted that petitioner no.1 (husband) and respondent no. 2 (wife) have settled their disputes amicably and started living together for the last more than six months. Respondent no.2 submits that presently she has no grievance against petitioner no.1 and his relatives, that is, petitioner nos. 2 and 3, therefore, she is not interested in pursuing the FIR No. 96/2013 under Sections 498-A/406/34 IPC registered at police station Crime (Women) Cell, Nanakpura and the same may be quashed. Keeping in mind that husband and wife have started living together

after ironing out their differences, in my view, no fruitful purpose would be served to keep the criminal proceedings pending. Accordingly, in the interest of justice, aforesaid FIR and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.

Petition is disposed of in the above terms.

Dasti.
